How to Run Update Rule Set for a Contact Field with a Picklist

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to create a program that updates a contact's field if the value is blank.  The contact field is labeled Role and has two options: Security & Developer.

However, when I input the contact field into the program it only allows me to insert Role.  How do I use the program to insert one of the field choices (security or developer) instead?
