Setting Up Campaign Defaults
The Campaign Defaults section allows the Customer Administrator to setup up the default settings for all subsequent campaigns. These settings are usually configured once when campaigns are initially implemented in the application, so that all subsequent campaigns use the same baselines and are directly comparable. Make sure that the settings are those that you can use consistently for all campaigns, however they can be changed at any later time should the need arise.
The Initial Setup page contains two main sections:
- Campaign Details & Financials—This section allows you to set up the default for how long campaign transactions are processed after the end of the campaign (in the Campaign Process for picklist, measured in months in the range from 0 to 24 months), the month in which your fiscal year begins, and the default currency used for campaign financials.
To configure campaign details and financials:
- On the top navigation bar, click Settings> Setup> Campaigns (in the Assets section).
- Configure the Campaign Details & Financials section.
- Fiscal Year Begins in—Set the month in which fiscal reporting for your company begins for a new financial year. This allows you to align marketing reports with financial reports.
- Default Currency—Set the currency that will be used by default for financial calculations. The settings you choose here will be reflected in the Currency section of the Setup area (navigate to Setup> Currency) (note Default Currency in the Campaign Details & Financials section maps to the field called Base Currency in the Financial Set-up Details:
