Not sure whether this is a situation that other companies are facing too, but I am wondering about the possibilities in the following situation.
Because of limitations of our own database, we are sometimes driven towards using 3rd party data. I realize that this is not a real best-practise but sometimes we just need to revert to such tactics in order to get a quick start. When we use such 3rd party data, we do want to be acurate in using that data according to (regional) opt-in laws.
In some cases this means we need to deliver our mailing via a 3rd party, because they have the required opt-in.
In such cases I am wondering whether there is a way to connect an initial campaign via such a 3rd party to a campaign that is running on our own Eloqua instance? Could the 3rd party be sending a first email and could we have responders (clickthroughs + downloads + form submission) automatically feed into an active campaign in our own Eloqua platform?
For a form submission, I think this should be relatively easy. There must be a Processing Step which adds form submitters to 'our own' campaign. But what about people that click specific links/download specific ungated content directly from the email(s) sent by this 3rd party?
Best regards
Roger
