Can you link two dynamic text objects?

Here's a question about dynamic text objects.  Is it possible to link two dynamic text objects so that they flow together in an email or landing page?

For example, say that you've got two dynamic text objects, DTO1 and DTO2.  Let's also assume that DTO1 can vary in length, e.g. from two lines to five lines.  Is there any way to set things up so that DTO2 flows immediately after DTO1 with say, one line of empty space between them?  I can't see any way to do this in the email or landing page editor, but maybe there's a way to do this with html or some other approach.
