We relied on wireless last year and it was a hot mess. This year, we're reviewing an option to rely on cellular networks instead - our vendor says their clients have experienced success with this, but I've been to shows where my smartphone has no bars (which, should that happen this year, would again put us in the hot mess category). Our vendor also has an option to load our event registration database to a device, which wouldn't require wireless or cellular networks - but of course, we'd have to either rent or purchase the devices.
I'm curious as to what Topliners are doing here - I'm aware there are several threads with various capture options listed - but what are y'all using today for successful customer/prospect experience + successful booth staff experience + successful operations experience? Yes, I want it all!
